Urvashi Sharma & four other start indefinite fast against corruption in lucknow

Lucknow:25 July 2012: Social workers of lucknow have come forward  to lend support to  Anna Hazare’s movement against corruption. Social worker & RTI activist Urvashi Sharma, IAC member Akhilesh Saxena , Purushottam Shukla,Bhuvan Chandra Pandey , Devi Dutt Pandey & other IAC Volumteers from Lucknow gathered at Mahatma Gandhi  statue at Hazrathanj GPO in  Lucknow the capital of Uttar Pradesh in India to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi before moving to  dharna sthal opposite Legislative assembly in Lucknow . Later ,Urvashi Sharma,  Akhilesh Saxena , Purushottam Shukla,Bhuvan Chandra Pandey & Devi Dutt Pandey started  their indefinite fast to continue the fight against corruption .

“We are witnessing the undying spirit of an awakened Indian fighting for his rights.Support is pouring in from all walks of society” told urvashi Sharma.

The place was abuzz with slogans like ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’, ‘Vande Mataram’, ‘Inquilaab Zindaabad’ and some patriotic presentations by members of YAYAVAR group and many other cultural institutions of Uttar Pradesh.

IAC volunteer Akhilesh Saxena appealed to the people to come forward because everyone right from them to the common man there was fighting for a common cause, i.e. to uproot  the menace of corruption.

“This is the time when we cannot let loose of the situation; otherwise our future generations shall have to put in  manifold efforts to mend the system and also that India shall have suffered tremendous loss by then .Its a do or die situation so I am here” Urvashi said.
