Bahrain: Day before #Feb14

As all eyes focus on Bahrain ahead of the February 14, marking the day of a year of protest in the island nation, pictures and videos being posted by human rights activist being stopped from reaching the Lulu Roundabout have started hitting twitter and other social media sites.

Human Rights activist Nabeel Rajab posted a three minute video talking about him taking his family to the Perl Roundabout.

A handful of other human rights activists joined Nabeel in the march to LuLu Square. Here S.Yousif Almuhafda, who tweets under the account @SAIDYOUSIF posted few pictures

Below tweet by Rajab describes how he was met by riot police as he approached the roundabout: “Police beat me in front of my kids. We got tear gassed after only walking a few meters and stopped because my daughter was choking and had shortness of breath – but we are going back” – via Google Translate

Another well-known blogger Zainab al-Khawaja, who tweets as @angryarabiya, too made way to Pearl roundabout and posted not just a picture of the Rajab’s being attacked and there were pictures of her showing a victory sign at the roundabout.

Later on few tweet reports did rounds that she was arrested
