Amnesty International organized an award giving ceremony in Ireland in the honor of Aung San Suu kyi – the Burmese opposition leader and the General Secretary of League for Democracy. Amnesty International awarded her the title of “Ambassador of Conscience” for her peaceful struggle and her long detention for the reinstatement of democracy.
Members of Baloch Student Organization – Azad distributed leaflets among the participants of the event. The leaflets include detailed information about Pakistani state brutalities in Balochistan. Faiz Baloch, a senior member of BSO-A, also met with Amnesty International officials during the meeting and informed them about grave violations of human rights in Balochistan by Pakistani Forces.
Mr. Faiz urged Amnesty International to start Burmese like campaign to free thousands of Baloch, which include women and children, from Pakistani torture cells.
