Cameras to nab cheaters in Pakistan exam halls

Islamabad, July 12 (IANS) Pakistan plans to use cameras to stop cheating during exams.

The government intends to use modern digital cameras for checking illegal practices in examinations, said Visual Education Technology Organisation regional director Ashfaq Hussain Shah in Peshawar.

Ashfaq said they have developed a modern technology for the first time in the country to check copying in examinations, reported Dawn.

Besides curbing cheating in exams, it would also help monitor teachers on duty.

He said that for the first time modern technology has been introduced in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to check cheating and the attendance of teachers in government schools would be observed via electronic monitoring system.
