Car bomb leaves four troops dead in Quetta


QUETTA: At least four troops were killed and more than a dozen wounded when a car bomb hit a FC convey in the southern west city of Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan here on Monday.


According to the sources car was packed with explosives and parked on airport road, the explosive went off as frontier corps conveys passed by; a senior police official told.

 “The blast destroyed two military vehicles and killed four soldiers, and wounded around 10 others,” he added.

The explosion happened near Almo Chowk, located on the city’s main airport road, which is among Quetta’s ‘Red-zone’ areas. On the other hand Baloch Republican Army (BRA) spokesman from an undisclosed area claimed the responsibility for the attack and said such attacks will be carried on till the freedom of Balochistan.
