Scolari, currently manager of Brazilian Serie A side Palmeiras, said Friday he was still awaiting an offer to coach at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, reports Xinhua.

“It’s a fact that I want to coach a national team in 2014, but nobody wants me,” Scolari said.

The 63-year-old refused to respond when asked if he could replace current Brazil coach Mano Menezes in the event the position became vacant.

The president of Brazil’s Football Confederation (CBF), Jose Maria Marin, this week declared his support for Menezes, quelling rumours the coach was under pressure following a 1-2 loss to Mexico in the Olympic final earlier this month.
